Tuscany

Yes we did arrive safely in Tuscany although our rental car is not equiped with a GPS or a/c as we had ordered. After a stop in Lucca where we came across a wine tasting and antiqiue market, we made many wrong turns and did didn't arrive at our hotel until after dark.



San Gimignano was unbelievably beautiful in the morning with the clouds hanging over the valleys. Yesterday on my birthday, I had breakfast in San Giamignano and dinner at our next stop in Polvano on the east side of Tuscany. Our hotel is a beautiful respite from the busy cities. There's another spectacular view from the terrace and we enjoyed the sunset from that spot.



Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday greetings. Joe surprised me with a beautiful fruit tart delivered to the table. It had fresh figs from the trees outside our window.



It's been dificult to have internet connection, so we are behind in our photos, but we will do what we can.
